Don’t be stubborn and feel you can cope without some of the snowboard equipment. Every piece of equipment has a very important function and most of them protect you against some or other injury. It is a very expensive sport to start but save before hand or start buying piece by piece a few months before you plan to go snowboarding.

You can also check with the resort that you are going to if they rent out snowboard equipment. Most places offer rentals but it is always nicer to have your own equipment when you can afford it. You might want to but one of two things so long and rent the rest, then at least you know you are getting your own set of equipment together slowly but surely.
